this is my opinion guzheng is mostly a solo instrument. It can not be heard in an orchestra or band of more than a few instruments.
in co it can be nice to play the guzheng in some 'little tune' such as 'red candle tears' but in real practice the more common yeung kam and pipa already more than covering up the sound of guzheng. I like guzheng in 'nam yum' if played well.
there is no hard and fast rule. guzheng can be used in any part but is usually heard in solo and the quietest of passages. |

你的問題, 不同水準的古箏家有不同的處理. 在粵劇界, 古箏家的水準不高, 所以古箏只是在一些特別場合才用, 多是由玩琵琶或阮者兼任. 在曲藝界卻不一樣. 在粵劇界只要求箏的獨特音色, 古箏多只用在有古琴聲主題中, 或水聲效果, 或原是箏曲如春江, 漁舟等小曲中,或獨奏. 在其他的樂曲合奏中, 箏的聲音是迷失在各種彈撥樂器中而沒有作用. 南音曲調簡單, 乙反亦沒有問題, 其他的曲子, 如果玩箏者做過處理, 技術上可高可低. 要點是箏有箏的玩法. 最後一句還是看你水準如何了.

多谢Sam与大夫的回应。在奏民乐时,筝的弦一般定为12356音,不管任何调子。在奏粤曲时,可否将弦的音更改?算唔算“犯规”?能否被接受? 请不要见笑,我之所以有这疑问是因为本人技术非常差,只是“蚀过两晚夜粥”。

you can do anything you like. but my principle is that a guzheng player plays guzheng. stick with 12356 however you can tune it to that of the other instruments, be it c, c20....whatever and when playing 'faan sin' you can retune the line c (that is 1) so that that old g (old 5) now becomes new 1
在粤曲所弹的古筝,在奏乙反调曲牌时,定弦是否一样?...yes
若然是一样,4与7都要靠按弦才奏的,但是好多时候,4与7音经常连埋一齐,旋律稍为快D,便好难按得彻。...see if you are good lor
是否在梆王或南音过序时不用弹古筝呢?....good if play well
古筝是否限于奏小曲呢?.....no la

sam的答案我看不明, 尋找翻譯員, 因我也在學古箏, 但我的古箏在大埔新街市對面買,它是七弦的,我的老師眼都大埋, 話唔知點教我,我只好再買一個正常的 |

七弦,好似係古琴,咁你用個古琴叫老師教你彈古箏真係有d難為佢架,而家古箏多數係廿一弦架,雖然d弦多左三陪,但係就易學過彈古琴好多。 |

It can not be heard in an orchestra or band of more than a few instruments. 古筝好多時係独行俠。 箏聲不容易响管絃樂里面聽得出來。 in co it can be nice to play the guzheng in some 'little tune' such as 'red candle tears' but in real practice the more common yeung kam and pipa already more than covering up the sound of guzheng. I like guzheng in 'nam yum' if played well. 响粤曲用古箏奏小调例如红鐲淚呀會好好聽,但通常揚琴、琵琶嘅樂聲和箏聲相差不太大。我喜歡聽古箏奏的南音 (奏得好聽至係咋)。
