Shirley, and others to whom this concerns:

I will start some postings on "123 notation 簡譜", and use this to develop a chapter on "123 notation 簡諳" for the book I am writing.
The contents I can think of at this point will cover:

  1. The Key and Scale 綫口和調式
  2. The Pitch 音高
  3. The Time Signature 時速
    1. The Tempo 速度
    2. The Duration 時值

  4. Dynamics 跌宕
  5. Application in Singing Cantonese Opera 粵曲應用

These contents will be updated continually.
Please feel free to give me opinions if there are other issues that I need to consider.

How are you?

I just saw your 123 Notation at this website. I started to sing in the year 0f 2003 and I can sing the High pitch, but singing the low keys and I think I have problems. Can you tell me how I can practicing my singing in lower keys. Thanks for your time. I appreciate. Nancy (USA)
